PreFlight Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Hafeel Satchu ("we") for the PreFlight apps for Android and iOS. By installing or using PreFlight you accept them. On iOS, Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement also applies where it gives you more protection.
1. What PreFlight is
PreFlight is a personal pilot logbook and record-keeping tool. It stores the flights, documents and duty times you enter, calculates totals, currency and duty figures from them, and can read techlog sheets and logbook pages using an AI service to save you typing.
2. Your official records remain your responsibility
- PreFlight is not an official logbook, flight-time limitation system or regulatory record. Figures it shows, including currency, recency and duty or rest calculations, are indicative and are computed from the data you entered under the settings you chose.
- Text read from scanned images may contain errors. Always check scanned flights before saving them.
- You are responsible for keeping the records your licensing authority and operator require, in the form they require, and for the accuracy of what you enter.
- Weather information is retrieved from public sources and may be delayed or incomplete. It is not a substitute for an official briefing.
3. Your account
You need a Google or Apple account to sign in. Keep it secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person per account. You may use the app on all your own devices.
4. Your content
Everything you enter, import or scan stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, sync it between your devices, process it to provide the features you use, and share it with the people you choose through crew share and exports. When you share a crew-share code you are responsible for who you give it to.
5. PreFlight Pro and scan credits
- Some features, and a larger monthly scanning allowance, require a PreFlight Pro subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings. Refunds are handled under the store's rules.
- Free accounts receive a small number of scan credits. Credits reset monthly for Pro accounts and are not transferable or refundable. A credit is used per scan request; credits are refunded automatically when the scan fails for a reason on our side.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use PreFlight to store content you have no right to, to interfere with the service or other users, to reverse engineer the app except where the law allows, or to circumvent subscription or credit limits.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use PreFlight after the change means you accept it. Keep a current export of your data; "Export all my data" is available in the app at any time.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using PreFlight and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections 2, 9 and 10 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
9. No warranty and limitation of liability
PreFlight is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, and we are not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on figures shown in the app, from errors in scanned or imported data, from loss of data, or from the unavailability of the service, except where caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes are subject to the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
